Introducing Mila & Rose’s all-new Active Collection! Featuring our newest activewear collection that your girls will love. With four cute patterns and two classic solid colors to choose from, she’ll be a trendsetter with her friends in any of these tops or bottoms. Today, we’ll show you the many ways your girl can get active in true Mila & Rose fashion:
Before you do any physical exercise, you must always stretch beforehand. If your kid stretches, their muscles will grow and prevent their chances of getting injured. Even just ten minutes a day can improve their posture and minimize growing pains.

While you’re stretching, why not try yoga? Yoga helps you relax, improve emotional regulation and concentration, and decrease stress. Grab a yoga mat and try out some fun poses, like downward dog, tree, and child’s pose!

One of our favorite ways to get active is by dancing! Dance is a sport for the body and mind. It improves flexibility, spatial awareness, coordination, listening skills, and more. Plus, it’s great for creative self-expression! Put on your favorite music and get jiggy with it!

If your kid really wants to get active, take them to a gymnastics class! Gymnastics and tumbling are great for building strength, flexibility, body control, and confidence. Soon enough, they’ll be swinging, flipping, and cartwheeling vivaciously!

What’s more fun than playing with a hula hoop? Moving a hula hoop around your waist, arm, or even leg for as long as you can can help with your core strength, endurance, flexibility, and concentration. Give this a spin, and let us know how you like it!

If your kid loves to jump, hand them a jump rope and see how long they can jump over it without missing a beat! Jump roping helps with timing, rhythm, coordination, and making quick decisions. Jump ropes are great for setting personal goals as well. How many times can your kid jump rope in a row?

There are many ball sports that your child can get involved in. There’s basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball/softball, and so much more! You can either join a team in your community, and/or you can purchase a ball and practice your skills at home. Whether you’re throwing, catching, kicking, or dribbling a ball, it’s sure to be a lot of fun.

The most important thing about exercising is to make sure you drink water. Staying hydrated allows you to improve blood flow and circulation, regulate blood pressure, and prevent muscle fatigue and injuries. Depending on their age, the recommended daily water intake for kids is approximately four to eight cups a day.

Whenever it’s cold outside, whether in the winter or if your kid has to wake up early in the morning, they should layer up if they want to get some exercise. Layering can help regulate body temperature, and they can always take a layer off if they feel too warm. Make sure not to put on too many layers of clothing, because if you sweat from wearing too much, the cold air can make you feel even colder.

One of the most important life lessons for kids when exercising or playing sports with others is to show good sportsmanship. That means to respect yourself, your teammates, opponents, coach, referee, and anyone else involved, win without gloating, lose gracefully, always do your best, and learn from your mistakes. If they are able to show good sportsmanship, it’ll allow them to have a more safe and fun experience.

Being active and getting exercise has many benefits for kids, and there isn’t one right way to do it. However your kid loves to get exercise will stay with them for the rest of their lives. If you have any questions about our Active Collection, please contact us today!
